Neues zum Thema Anticheats. Punkbuster wird zukünftig mit Electronic Arts und id Software zusammenarbeiten. Das derzeit vollständig von EA überarbeitete MMORPG "Ultima Online", sowie der langersehnte Shooter "Enemy Territory: Quake Wars" werden von Punkbuster unterstützt werden.
Dies dürfte die Fangemeinde beider Spiele sehr angenehm überraschen, da Punkbuster noch vor einigen Monaten als Totgeburt galt, mittlerweile aber sehr effizient Cheater abzuwehren versteht.

id Software, Inc. has contracted with Even Balance, Inc. to integrate PunkBuster™ Anti-Cheat software into the highly anticipated multiplayer online game Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars™, published by Activision. PunkBuster Anti-Cheat features will be available "out-of-the-box" with the retail release of the game.
